Laurel J. Pracht, President

Laurel J Pracht, the founder of the West Valley Ovarian Cancer Alliance, is a 24-year ovarian cancer survivor. When diagnosed in 1999, she realized there were few reliable information areas for patients. As a result, she was determined to make a difference for others by advocating for women with ovarian cancer.  She serves as a member of the National Cancer Institute Cancer Care Delivery Research Steering Committee, representing the patient perspective when reviewing research proposals. She is also a long-term patient advocate with the national NRG Oncology research group.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, She lives in Sun City, AZ with her husband Bob.
